After 20 years, the Kungälv depot is moving to a larger location
Everything comes to an end, and after all these years at Filaregatan 9 in Kungälv , we’ll be moving at the turn of the year to attractive Rollsbo, right next to the E6, and Växelgatan 4. A significantly larger property, more suitable facilities, and an unbeatable location.
It was in 2005 that Mats Båthen and Jonas Mårtensson moved into their current premises with their rental company, Hyrservice in Kungälv. Here, they supplied all the builders with both equipment and “everything for the party.” This is where we got all our party tents for 2017; they sold the company to Stål&Hyr, which changed its name to Renta in 2019. Båthen picked up his guitar, and Mårtensson has continued his journey with us. Without Mårtensson, we would never have delivered so successfully to the battery factory in Gothenburg, and without Anders, Ulf, Johann, Mats, Frida, and Hampus, we would never have outgrown our current facilities.
– We’re cramped here; the construction workers notice it in the mornings when machinery trucks block the road. It’ll be a big difference on Växelgatan. Plus, Kungälv has grown, and this has become the wrong end of town—at our new address, we’ll practically be right on the E6. Not only will it be easier to find space in the yard, but it’ll also be easier to get to us,” says Anders Andreassen, site manager at Renta Kungälv.

In just six years, the idea that a group of small, local equipment rental companies would unite on a national level has become a reality, with 73 depots (from Trelleborg to Boden) now doing everything they can for their local communities.
