We’ve had a soft opening at the Port of Malmö
Over the past six years, we have supported Malmö’s construction sector, from the opulent Fosie , and with a growing need for accessibility and machinery in the city, we are now opening a location in the harbor. At 34 Bjurögatan , to be exact. The grand opening isn’t until May 17, and we certainly have a few things to get in order. But you’re welcome to stop by anytime!
There’s already a springtime vibe in the air, and the team that makes up Malmö Hamn has been formed. We know Daniel Kvist, the inside sales rep who also plays golf , from his years at the Fosie Depot, and together with Torns IF’s lightning-fast left back, Ted Sandberg, they’ll take on the roles of inside sales reps. Gustav Sjöberg, known from YouTube and serving as site manager, will oversee both the Fosie and Hamndepån locations.
– A long-awaited and natural expansion. We’re now available for all construction projects in both the southern (Fosie) and northern (Hamnen) parts of Malmö. We just couldn’t wait, so we’re having a soft opening a full three months before the official grand opening. That gives us plenty of time to blow up balloons and get the equipment ready,” says Gustav Sjöberg, site manager at Renta Malmö.
This brings our total to 12 depots in Skåne
All of Skåne is growing by leaps and bounds, and for decades we have supported both the construction industry and community sports—from Trelleborg in the south, Kristianstad in the east, Höganäs in the west, and, yes, Höganäs in the very far north as well. With Helsingborg (south and north), Landskrona, Lund, Malmö (Fosie and Hamn), Kävlinge, Hässleholm, and Åstorp in between.
– The construction industry is struggling right now, and we’re seeing that mainly in the rise in one-day rentals—which makes it even more important that we’re available to serve Skåne. There are still some gaps on the map, but we’ll quickly arrange deliveries there, of course. We’ll continue to strive to provide the best service to the Skåne construction industry, and we hope everyone will come to the Port of Malmö when we kick off our opening event on May 17 with kebabs, equipment suppliers, and contests. “We deserve a celebration, regardless of the economic climate,” sums up Linus Hylén, Regional Manager at Renta Skåne.
