Ronnie Takes Renta to Timrå
Named after Ronnie Peterson, trained at NCC (26 years old) and now the one who, together with site manager Viktor, is bringing Renta to Timrå. We sent our new sales rep to the west coast and the depots in Halmstad and Sisjön for a couple of days; now that he’s back home, the depot is being prepped for a soft opening in December. Of course, we also took five quick shots with Ronnie Söderlind himself.
Thirty years of experience are on display in Sisjön’s large workshop. After three days in Halmstad in the company of Oskar Svensson, my picture of Renta has become clearer. Even though he longs most of all to return home to Medelpad and the peace that only a forest in the north can provide.
“They’re true professionals down in Halmstad, and I’m taking Oskar’s expertise and drive back home with me. When I looked at Renta from the outside, I saw a forward-leaning company that was charging ahead. I’ve already seen how it works, and there’s only more to come. My goal with this trip down south is to bring the machines and service to Timrå,” says Ronnie Söderlind, sales representative at Renta Timrå.
The Carpentry Trip at NCC
But first, let’s go back thirty years, to when a 20-year-old Ronnie picked up a hammer and started working as a carpenter at NCC. Since then, he’s always thought like a carpenter, planning his next move with a folding rule, and after fifteen years with a nail in his pocket, he went back to school. He spent just as many years as a carpenter as he did as a site manager, but when his daily routine became too rigid, he needed a change.
– I wanted to do something different and applied for a job for the first time in thirty years. So I Googled how to do it and wrote a resume. My years as a sales representative at Skanska Rental were incredibly educational and fun. Then Tommy Johansson got in touch, and it’s hard to say no to our regional manager.
Ambitions in Timrå
With the goal of becoming a major player in the local market, it is primarily the service that snowmobile enthusiast Ronnie wants to provide to Timrå’s community builders.
“All credit to the machines, but it’s the service that makes all the difference. And Viktor and I have big plans in this area. We’ll soon be up and running in our own service center, but we’ve been operating in Sundsvall for several years now, so if you need help today, please contact me,” Ronnie concludes.
