Kungsbacka’s customer service center is being renovated

Customers will experience a more natural flow; the sales staff will have window-facing workstations, and large glass doors will invite visitors into the machinery warehouse. With Kungsbacka Byggnads as the general contractor, the renovation is proceeding at such a pace that it will be finished before it’s even really gotten started. It will be completed in May. Until then, everything will continue as usual from the machinery warehouse.

Right across from the Kungsbacka warehouse is the Hede Fashion Outlet, and just two roundabouts away is the on-ramp to the E6. It was in the summer of 2005 that Stål&Hyr (which became part of Renta in 2019) opened the depot at this address. At that time, there was a sauna in the middle of the facility, and the municipality had 69,000 residents. Today, that number has risen to 85,500, and by 2033, the forecast indicates it will surpass the 100,000 mark. Read more on page 12 here.

“Things are booming here, and above all, it’s people from Gothenburg who are moving south, young people returning home, and many of us who never leave. At the depot, we’re all from around here and still live in the municipality. Plus, the entire construction team that Kungsbacka Byggnads has brought in consists of local tradespeople,” says Joakim Porath, site manager at Renta Kungsbacka.

The builders behind the renovation

With Walter Hansson handling the electrical work, Aderbys doing the plumbing, MTB handling the tiling, and WH Ytskikt Måleri taking care of the painting, who’s pulling it all together? Kungsbacka Byggnads, of course.

“It’s not the case on every construction site that we can just grab a machine off the shelf and get to work. We’ll also have to see how they treat their other customers as well. And it’s worth mentioning that Friday breakfast is something to look forward to at this depot,” says Mathias Björn, a carpenter at Kungsbacka Byggnads.
