Assemblin Brings Visions to Life in Borås
As one of the Nordic region’s leading installation companies, Assemblin’s ambition is to bring visions to life—such as rebuilding what has been completely destroyed. Last May, a large facility in Knalleland, Borås, was ravaged by fire, and the entire building burned to the ground. We joined forces with our new framework agreement client to help them restore Knalleland to its former glory.
For nearly 50 years, Knalleland has been defined by its shopping center and its central location relative to both the city of Borås and its zoo and soccer stadium. But everything was turned upside down when black smoke settled like a blanket over the city. On the evening of Friday, May 21, 2021, boiled linseed oil spontaneously combusted, and the 4,000-square-meter facility was completely destroyed. The construction community rallied, and barely five months later, Willys was able to reopen. After the Willys project, Magnus Wiland and his colleagues immediately began work on the former ÖoB and Björkås premises, which are scheduled to be completed by February of next year.
“Most of the equipment was damaged by water where we’re working today, and we’re now connecting the electrical panel to all the new wires so they’ll work together during the test run,” says Magnus Wiland, an electrician at Assemblin Borås.
Everything related to installation
For Assemblin, no two installation projects are alike. That’s why we tailor our solutions to you and your property, facility, or industrial site—across the entire country. The ink has barely dried on the framework agreement, and we, as equipment rental providers, are now available to Assemblin—across the entire country.
– Personal chemistry is everything in a partnership, if you ask me. That, and the fact that all the machines we need and are looking for are available—or at least in your inventory. I like that the app gives me a quick overview of your fleet and that I can see our prices and what we’ve rented there,” concludes Magnus Wiland.
Would you also like to put our accessibility to the test—on a national level?
We’re growing alongside our customers, and today we have 54 depots, from Malmö in the south to Lycksele in the north. With this national framework agreement with Assemblin, we now have the opportunity to show one of the Nordic region’s leading installation companies just how effective our equipment availability and local service really are.
“It’s really great that Assemblin now wants to challenge our machine availability, and we’re going to show them—just as we show all our other customers—that they’re number 10 on our team, our most important player. Together, we’re building Sweden,” says Magnus Lundberg, framework agreement expert and Key Account Manager at Renta.
