People whom the city missions encounter may be facing both social and economic vulnerability. The city missions provide emergency basic support, such as food and heat, as well as long-term support for positive change to increase people’s inclusion and empowerment.
Each city mission offers an open meeting place, individual guidance, and job training in a store or café. In most locations, there are counseling services for EU citizens and food distribution. In some locations, there are open preschools, therapy programs, shelter housing, substance abuse treatment, and more. The city missions develop and implement various social models to best assist vulnerable people.
