We (Renta) are assisting Serneke with the construction of Uddevalla’s new fire station
The construction of Uddevalla’s new fire station is being led by Serneke—we are supplying the temporary structures and equipment. The new fire station on Highway 44 will cover 3,600 square meters and is expected to be operational in 2023. New infrastructure is also being built in the surrounding area.
With the new construction site just seven minutes from our depot, we feel almost as well-drilled as the firefighters themselves. We’ve just set up six trailers, and after the summer we’ll bring in nine more. In the meantime, as I said, we’re just a phone call and a couple of minutes away from the Serneke construction crew, ready to roll out any machine they need. Because construction is what? Well, a team sport!
The Northern E6 Fire Department
Bohuslän is a true gem, and its string of pearls— the E6, will give the Trestad Fire Department (2023) virtually priority access when the new fire station is built right next to State Route 44, adjacent to Västgötavägen and Excersisvägen. This is where Serneke is now designing and constructing a top-of-the-line emergency response facility.
Well-established collaboration
We have had the honor of working with Serneke in the past and are pleased to be involved every step of the way in this project as well—a project that has already begun with the infrastructure work.
– First, we’ll deliver to Serneke Mark, which is building the infrastructure, new roads, and a roundabout. Then the plan is for Serneke Bygg to step in after the summer to begin construction of the new fire station. It’s an exciting project and one that the residents of Uddevalla have been eagerly awaiting,” says Thomas Fredlund, Site Manager at Renta Uddevalla.
