Pump-Erik is here to move water
The trickier, the more fun. He started out as a mechanic at Scania in the 1980s, and after ten years working on and around trucks, he has spent the last twenty years devoting all his time and creativity to moving water. Now his goal is to move in and showcase Uprent’s solutions to the Swedish market. Make way for the fisherman, the mechanic, and the pump expert: Erik Nordqvist.
There’s a summery vibe in the air as we meet one of our new hires from this spring. If you ask certain customers and employees, this is a truly long-awaited addition to the team. Since April, Erik has been traveling around to our regions, sharing his ideas and solutions—as well as those of Uprent. You do remember that Uprent is part of Renta, right? He’s also been working with the team at Letterna, sketching out plans and solutions tailored to the Swedish market.
“I was drawn to the way Renta is structured. And to the opportunity to bring Uprent to Sweden. They’re so organized, professional, and meticulous. They really know what they’re doing, and I want to show that to the Swedish market,” says Erik Norqvist, a pump expert at Renta.
“You don’t know what you’re getting yourselves into”
When that’s said during a job interview at Renta, the person is usually hired before they’ve even had a chance to explain themselves. When it comes to Erik and everything he did at Xylem, and his years at Scania, we knew that if anyone knows what we’re getting ourselves into, it’s him.
– I’m honest, but also humble in the face of the hard work that will be required. Uprent is completely unknown in the Swedish market, and we now need to win over and exceed expectations every time a customer decides to try our joint pump lineup. And I can vouch for the fact that Uprent really knows what they’re doing,” Erik concludes.
