Renta has established an on-site warehouse for Viscaria—in Kiruna
Renta has signed an agreement with the mining company Viscaria and established a project depot at Viscaria’s site in Kiruna. Viscaria is currently in a two-year construction phase to reopen the copper mine in 2028.
Viscaria is a Swedish publicly traded company that is scaling up to become a modern and responsible mining company through the reopening of the Viscaria mine in Kiruna. The goal is for the mine to be in full production by 2029. Using the latest technology in mining, logistics, and water treatment, the company aims to become one of the world’s most sustainable copper producers. In addition to the Viscaria Mine, the company holds processing concessions and exploration permits in Arvidsjaur and Smedjebacken.
– The establishment of Renta’s on-site depot is an important step toward creating an efficient and well-functioning construction environment. Having machinery, equipment, and service right on site is absolutely crucial for maintaining high quality and meeting tight deadlines in a project of this size. “We look forward to a close and fruitful collaboration,” says Fredrik Rova, project manager for site services at Viscaria.

The project depot will be on site during the summer
When construction began this summer, Renta’s project depot was set up immediately, and when the construction phase is in full swing, 120 site trailers will be available to the construction workers and staff. Right now, Renta is preparing both its staff and its machinery to ensure it is ready to deliver on what has been agreed upon and promised.
“We are very proud that Fredriks and the entire Viscaria team have placed their trust in us to deliver in Kiruna. We take this very seriously and will now do everything we can to ensure our delivery,” says Andreas Rosenius, Key Account Manager for Industrial Projects at Renta.
