Renta Opens a Branch in Örnsköldsvik
L E Maskin, which recently merged with Renta, has been supplying Örnsköldsvik’s builders with job site trailers and machinery for some time, and in response to customer requests, they have been planning to open a depot in the city for several months. Once the summer holidays are over, the depot will be stocked, and in September, the doors at Terminalvägen 9F will open. It will be decked out in orange—the first “orange” touch from the latest merger. A warm welcome to all!
Örnsköldsvik is the city that, historically speaking, has produced a lot of paper and a lot of NHL pros. Although the city was put on the map by Hägglund & Söner—the company that every Swede, at some point during the 20th century, has ridden in one of the public transit vehicles it manufactured, either in whole or in part— Not to mention everything else the company—and companies like it—have produced and continue to produce to this day. They have undeniably contributed to the building of Sweden. And speaking of that: there’s a lot of construction going on in Ö-vik these days, and one of the sites is our depot in the city, located near Swedol but even closer to the E4.
“We’ve been keeping an eye on Örnsköldsvik for quite some time, and in addition to supplying cranes and climbing platforms to local builders, we’ve provided rental services on a more sporadic basis when needed. It’s only now, in the spring, that we’ve started delivering site trailers and machinery for our own projects. “Knowing that we would open as soon as we found a location, we were able to plan comprehensive solutions for the projects and be confident that we could deliver,” says Tommy Johansson, regional manager for Renta in Central Norrland.
Rekab Entreprenad is expanding Paradiset
One of the projects in the city that we’re proud to support with construction trailers and equipment is the expansion of one of Sweden’s largest water parks, Paradiset. At the same time, Örnsköldsvik Hospital is getting a new surgical center, and in the meantime, we’ll be offering all other construction sites and contractors top-notch opening-day refreshments and well-stocked equipment racks.
“Things are really taking off in Ö-vik, and even though we’ve already hired two local machinery experts, we need all the help we can get to really make an impact in the city. As someone new to the Renta world, I can say that it’s the local decisions that are the hallmark of the organization. No two depots are alike, even if the mindset is the same. Without our customers, we’re nothing, and together with them, we’re building Sweden,” Tommy concludes.
Building is a team sport
We’re not just growing in terms of the number of machines—we’re completely dependent on you, who goes above and beyond for our customers. You’re the one who doesn’t even hesitate before hopping in the pickup truck to pick up a machine 10 mil away. Tommy will be looking for people who know Örnsköldsvik inside and out throughout the summer and is happy to accept unsolicited applications right now. Email tommy.johansson@lemaskin.se if you’re interested in machines and the local area and want to join an “orange rebel” adventure.
