We’re opening a depot in Västberga—our ninth in Stockholm
When the warm summer breezes wash over us, we’ll open a depot along the E4 and E20 highways. In Västberga, at Vretensborgsvägen 22, a 958-square-meter space will be renovated and “orangefied” this spring. Our very own Max Thylin Wallquist will serve as site manager; he has risen through the ranks and has exemplarily led our depots in Globen and Jordbro.
Geographically speaking, Västberga is a gem, and from here we’ll be able to offer our services for all the exciting construction projects in Huddinge, Sätra, Segeltorp, Årsta, Älvsjö, Kungens Kurva, Mälarhöjden, and Skärholmen. Not to mention all the downtown projects that we’ll also have the opportunity to support.
Significant Growth in the Stockholm Region in 2022
Last year, we grew so rapidly in Stockholm that we experienced some serious growing pains for a while. Thanks to concerted efforts by our purchasing department and major improvements at Renta Shop—where site managers themselves order what the depot and local contractors request—machine availability has improved significantly and caught up with the high demand.
Västberga is the obvious answer to that, and now that the developers want more from us, we’re stepping up. As of last week, Max Thylin Wallquist is the site manager for Västberga—a role he was offered immediately after the location was finalized, and he accepted just as quickly.
“Max has a natural and clear leadership style that we saw early on in his time as an inside sales representative at the Globen depot. What he has accomplished since then—both there and in Jordbro as site manager—is inspiring. He involves and engages employees and is very customer-focused. He also has extensive experience running an inner-city depot, says Thomas Robertsson, Regional Manager at Renta Stockholm.
Together, We Shape the Västberga Depot
As the facility is being remodeled and equipped with machinery, the same is happening with the team that will serve all customers and operate the machinery. Max has a clear plan and will be looking for:
- Mechanic
- Farm & Transportation
- In-House Sales Representative
But as he himself says, it’s mainly about what you believe in and who you are as a person:
– We really are nothing without our customers, and if you believe in service and want to help others, then you should definitely apply to work with us. We’re also the industry’s disruptors, and you’ll have a great opportunity to influence and shape your job—but on the other hand, you’ll need to be adaptable yourself. We’ll be a small, close-knit group where everyone helps each other—where the mechanic might just as easily be at the customer service desk renting out a machine, the inside sales rep might be hosing down an excavator, and the transporter might be preparing the hot dogs andbread, and together we’ll shape the Västberga depot,” says Max Thylin Wallquist, site manager at Renta Västberga.
Why Renta?
We want to challenge the entire industry and show everyone how a national company can actually look out for each and every individual, too. Machines are all well and good, but we’re problem-solvers and team players. If a colleague or customer needs a helping hand, we’ll give them two. We call it “Renta Common Sense.” You’ll get wellness benefits, five weeks of vacation, and a truly fast-paced workday. But above all, a sense of commitment that simply has to be experienced.
