We help teams all over Sweden install new lawns

Degerfors IF, the small club with a big heart, is now laying a new natural grass field at Stora Valla. They’re getting help from our Karlskoga depot, led by site manager Thomas “Sylta” Karlsson: 900 meters of fencing, 3 large excavators, and 2 tool sheds. The goal: the home game against Hammarby on April 21.

The new lawn is now taking shape, and all the waterlogged areas are becoming a thing of the past. Behind the work and expertise is the well-staffed lawn specialist company: the Irish firm SIS Pitches. “Sylta,” with a lifelong history at BIK Karlskoga—just one mil from Sweden’s most beloved industrial town—recalls an autumn filled with many artificial respirations.

– Last fall, we set up tents on the waterlogged spots and turned on the heater almost immediately after the referee’s final whistle. It’s great that the team now has a really nice field that does justice to the club and the soccer they play. DIF on really nice natural grass will be tough to beat,” says Thomas “Sytla” Karlsson.

Allsvenskan: Here Comes Degen

In SVT’s acclaimed year-long series of Degerfors IF, we get to follow the team from their promotion to the Allsvenskan all the way (SPOILER) to securing their contract on a snow-covered field in Östersund. As early as episode one, the show discusses Stora Valla’s biggest concern: the field, which takes a heavy toll during the coldest months of the year. Quick fixes were made back then; now, the field is being brought up to first-class standards.

And we support them every step of the way. Because building is a team sport.
