What the No. 10 jersey means to us
We’ve traveled across the country in the middle of the night, set up booths that seem to hover over the water, and shipped 10,000 license plates to Denmark—all for you. What else would we do? We’re nothing without our customers, so to us, you’re the most important player. You’re our number 10.
All right, sit up and take note—here’s a tribute to those who use our great fleet of machines. This is for the people who make it possible for us to buy the coffee that really gets us going in the morning, and who make the game we call “work life” truly exciting. Maybe a little too exciting at times.
“Absolutely, we’ll bring the floor saw over to you tomorrow.”
Yeah, but let’s be honest—there have been a couple of times when we’ve hung up the phone and turned to a coworker with a look of terror in our eyes and beads of sweat rolling down our foreheads, and said, “What the hell did I just promise?”
But it brightens up those so-called rainy days, and it makes our depots pull out all the stops—ordering five Hydrema dump trucks on a Thursday afternoon and, by golly, making sure that Number 10 has them in place by Monday morning. Seriously, though, those deliveries are as smooth as can be.
“Building” is a team sport, as we usually say
Yes, this jersey is for all those who build both our community and us. It’s our way of saying thank you. Thank you for letting us play on the same team as you and for wanting to be our number 10. But don’t get too comfortable or cocky now—we’ll keep throwing tough plays at you that challenge your stamina and keep us doing that uncomfortable work at home.
Because soccer is a team sport, and you’re number 10 on our team.
Come on in!
