The electricians of the future will head out on their internships safely
Winter still has a firm grip on the schoolyard. But at Elof Lindälv High School in Kungsbacka, education comes first, and thanks to the lift operator training, students in the electrical and energy program are well-prepared for their upcoming spring internship. We stopped by just before their theory exam.
For over a decade, Christian Frisk and his colleagues have trained more than 500 electricians and have always strived to provide them with the very best foundation for their future careers. A recurring and important element has always been ensuring both the students’ safety and their active participation when they begin their internships. Today, the lift is one of the electrician’s best friends, and operating it requires the proper training.
– Practical training is incredibly important in education, and we want students to gain experience with the wide range of tasks involved in the profession. There’s nothing worse than just standing around watching; if they’re doing that, then we’ve failed to provide students with the right conditions. Yes, then we’ve failed in our mission,” says Christian Frisk, an electrical engineering teacher in the electrical and energy program at Elof Lindälv High School.

Our partnership with Elof Lindälv High School has grown stronger over the years, and in recent years, Andreas Karlsson, an electrical installation supervisor in Gothenburg, has welcomed a dozen students into our operations. Here, they have had the opportunity to run rough cable and see how the construction industry supports the building sector.
“We talk with them ahead of time about what they’d like to do here, and right now we have two students in their final year whom I hope to hire this summer—if the conditions are right and they’re interested, of course,” says Andreas Karlsson.
