How We’re Supporting Implenia in the Construction of the West Coast Line
The tunnel experts at Implenia are more than just our No. 10. They are the general contractor that has the great honor of building the entire Varberg railway underground, beneath the city. We went to visit the construction site of the new West Coast Line, ran some electrical lines, and set up a few temporary structures—about 200 of them.
As we’ve mentioned before, Implenia is an infrastructure construction company that enjoys working on challenging projects—and with us. One of the projects we’re supporting them with is the West Coast Line construction project in Varberg.

How We Support Implenia in the West Coast Line Construction Project
We have delivered 200 work sheds and a number of specialized lifts for work in tunnels as well as outdoors. We have also transported construction equipment, including bulldozers and rollers, among other things. We have installed lighting and run electrical lines, and set up compressors, site fencing, pumps, and portable toilets.
We also provide support in the form of patrols for all traffic closures, material deliveries approximately three times a day (three rental companies at the depot are available at all times), and an electrical technician who is on site daily.
– An incredibly interesting project where Implenia is involved in 13 major phases in and around the West Coast Line construction, and we have 13 sites set up for these, including the temporary housing site. “One thing I’m really proud of so far is how our Traffic Closure Department has worked tirelessly on the road closures throughout the city.
