We’re growing in Luleå

In December 2023, we opened the doors to our first depot in Luleå at Depåvägen 3. We’ve been warmly welcomed, and a lot has happened since then. This fall, new adventures await, and our new depot will be inaugurated just a stone’s throw away—at Depåvägen 2. Of course, this calls for a celebration, and we’ll be throwing a grand party together with you.

The Steel City, the Sports City, the Military City—a beloved child has many names. Luleå, with one of Sweden’s largest ports and its high-performing sports teams, has made itself well-loved. No one is happier than Renta to be expanding and continuing our journey right here.
We’re located along both Haparandavägen and Björkskataleden and will be neighbors with the RISE research institute. Together with the courtyard, the new depot will cover a total of 8,000 square meters.

Would you like to try Northern Europe’s tastiest kebab, as Magnus promises? If so, you should come to our grand opening in September.

“There are several reasons for our expansion in Luleå. We intend to support the industry’s green transition and continue to be a good team player,” says Magnus Wennberg, regional manager for Northern Norrland.

Luleå is expanding, and we’re right in the mix

No one up here in Norrbotten can fail to notice that Luleå is expanding. The city is planning a number of projects—including a new residential area on Hertsön, specifically in Hertsöheden.

– Hertsöheden will become a new part of Hertsön, which is already a neighborhood with strong community spirit and a drive for innovation. Here, we are creating the housing market’s equivalent of the green industrial revolution. “We want to be both technically and socially innovative and build new homes that accommodate different lifestyles for all stages of life, all ages, and all types of households,” writes the City of Luleå on its website.

Construction at Hertsöheden is scheduled to begin in 2026, and residents are expected to move in as early as 2027.

Last but not least, Luleå Industrial Park —the Green Industrial Revolution that has already put Luleå on the world map. Preparatory work on the infrastructure and logistics center for what will become the 120-hectare park is planned to be carried out in phases over the next ten years.

– The world wants green, carbon-neutral steel, sustainable graphite anodes for the car batteries of the future, and smart minerals for future technological development. All of this—and more—is now becoming a reality right here. An industrial cluster is emerging that is developing new, world-leading innovations. In other words, we’ve only just begun, writes Luleå Industripark.

Wherever construction is taking place—that’s where we are, providing the necessary machinery and support.

We’re on the same team

In our previous news article,“Two New Team Players in Luleå,” we show, among other things, that we’re supporting Luleå Basket and challenging newcomer Tayah Burrows.
