25-TONNE EXCAVATOR – ELECTRIC The Cat 320 Z-line battery-powered hydraulic excavator delivers maximum performance with zero emissions. The all-electric drivetrain ensures low vibration and noise levels and enhances the driving experience, complementing the already brilliant ‘Next Generation’ cab. A pre-heating function ensures the machine is at the right temperature at start-up in cold weather. The only difference from a standard diesel-powered excavator is an additional display that informs the operator of the battery and drive unit status. Identical machine operation in all modes. Fewer moving parts, fewer fluids, fewer filters, lower energy consumption and longer service intervals. The connection to the machine is made on the right-hand side of the machine using a Marechal connector. This is then connected to a standard construction site power socket via an adapter cable fitted with a standard red 400 V / 63 A plug (IEC 60309).
