Trelleborg is growing, and so are we with Trelleborg
Sweden’s southernmost city is growing and has expanded Scandinavia’s largest Ro-Ro port. Looking ahead, a ring road around the city, a logistics center, and 7,000 homes right on the coast are now being built. We’re already supporting the city, and to truly be there for Trelleborg as it reconnects with the sea, we’re opening our local depot this summer at Truckvägen 1.
Trelleborg is located in the southernmost part of Sweden, on the beautiful coastline and right next to the Söderslätt landscape; the city is now undertaking its largest urban development project ever. The new RoRo port was inaugurated in April, marking the start of construction—first on the ring road and then on a massive 180-hectare logistics center. At the same time, the Kuststad 2025 project is moving full steam ahead across a full 50 hectares along the coastline. Here, 7,000 homes will be built, along with a 5-kilometer-long coastal pier and expansive sandy beaches. We now look forward to being close by and contributing to all the exciting projects that lie ahead for Trelleborg.
“This project has been in the works for many years and has been the subject of many long conversations at dinner tables and in town squares. It’s a proud and exciting time to be a resident of Trelleborg. The fact that we’re now also expanding our operations in the area and establishing ourselves here feels both thrilling and logical,” says David Svärd, site manager at Renta Trelleborg.
Many of us associate Trelleborg with soccer legends like Tom Prahl, Andreas Isaksson, and TFF. Others associate it with Malmros Rederi (which built over 70 ships), Mr. Cool, and Sjöormen. We are now striving to build a local team that stands on the shoulders of past achievements.
– We’re going to build one of Sweden’s finest machinery facilities, and with the support of our ten other depots in the region, we’ll be more than ready by summer when we open for business. But it’s not just a matter of throwing open the doors in Trelleborg. Here, we’ll have to roll up our sleeves and really earn our place. It’s a positive challenge that I hope to tackle with some local help. I’m primarily looking for inside sales reps and mechanics who want to join me in laying the foundation,” says David Svärd.
