Rebecca will lead all of Renta Group’s sustainability efforts

For more than three years, she has led our quality and environmental efforts with such meticulous care. In fact, she has done such an excellent job that it was a no-brainer for Renta Group to appoint Rebecca Långström as Chief Sustainability Officer for the entire company. Now she will drive our green goals forward in eight countries and ensure that we meet every single requirement and promised target. We’d like to congratulate ourselves!

You’ve read her sustainability reports, accompanied her on audit in Lund and most likely sat down and talked to her one-on-one about chemical management. Rebecca Långström is now leaving Sweden to join the Group but will remain with Renta. As Head of Sustainability for the entire group, she will take on the responsibility this fall of ensuring that we, as a group, comply with all environmental regulations. She will play a central role in partnerships with multiple equipment rental contractors and will maintain a close and sustainable dialogue with all of our equipment suppliers.

“I’m really excited to lead our efforts not only to meet the requirements of current laws and regulations, but also to achieve the goals we’ve set.” Our entire business model is based on keeping existing machines in operation, and while we invest in greener machine alternatives, we must ensure a reasonable transition,” says Rebecca Långström, Head of Sustainability at Renta Group.

Roadmap 2045 = Toward a Fossil-Free Construction and Civil Engineering Sector

The construction and civil engineering sector, including the real estate sector, currently accounts for one-fifth of Sweden’s climate impact. While the equipment rental industry is, to some extent, a minor player in this context, there is still so much we can do ourselves—both within our own operations and by supporting the construction and civil engineering industry in sustainability efforts.

– We’ve noticed how the industry is crying out for sustainable alternatives, and creativity is both abundant and welcome. There are plenty of exciting solutions to tackle here, and that work is already underway. We will not only support builders in their green goals, but we will also challenge our entire industry and blaze a new sustainable trail—one that’s sustainable for people, the environment, and your wallet,” concludes Rebecca.

We are therefore looking for a new Quality and Environmental Manager

In other words, this gives you—or a friend of yours—the opportunity to step into the role of our KMA, our Quality and Environmental Manager.

Broadly speaking, the assignment is simple: work on sustainability issues and ensure that we comply with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

What does that mean?

You’ll have the opportunity to see Sweden, visit our depots, and support them in meeting their requirements and goals. You’ll also have Rebecca as a sounding board , and you can read more about what the job entails—and apply—right here.
